UK Septic Tank Regulations & Compliance
As of January 1, 2020, septic tank regulations have changed for both England and Wales. All types of septic tanks that discharge into surface water must now either be upgraded or replaced with a sewage treatment plant to comply with the updated environmental drainage standards.
